My Approach
Unlike traditional supervision for spiritual directors, which often reflects the Christian normativity of most training programs, I engage an Interspiritual perspective. I recognize that genuinely affirming your unique beliefs, practices, and personal experiences of the sacred involves more than just accepting different terms for “God,” and I aim to supervise from that understanding. My intention is steadfast: to help you cultivate your most authentic — and inspired – expression of companioning. We build safety through compassion, curiosity and respect, so you can share your experience without fear of being shamed or molded into my likeness.
I support the “doing” of your vocation by offering perspective, skills, suggestions and advice. I support the “being” of your vocation by facilitating inquiry, reflection and co-discernment. I also bring my experience as a former coach and three-time business owner to support you in growing a spiritual direction practice, so you can actually do and be all that calls you.

FAQs
How often would we meet?
If you are seeing clients, even just one, the integrity of supervision requires that we meet regularly. Typically, we meet monthly (even if you saw 10 clients that month). If you are seeing clients only sporadically, we can work out a more appropriate schedule. There is flexibility to develop a routine that makes sense and evolves with your practice, but your commitment to supervision is paramount. More-than-monthly supervision is also available to meet a temporary urgency, for instance.
Can you help me get my practice started?
Yes. We can clarify your unique vision of service, discuss business building strategies, and address any internal obstacles preventing you from moving forward. Regular meetings can also provide vital accountability and support as you navigate the tender terrain of beginning.
Who sets the agenda for our meetings?
The focus of supervision sessions is driven by you though I may bring up something we’ve been tracking or offer a prompt not directly emerging from your initial topic. And we will always be listening for the whisperings of Mystery, so the session may move in ways that surprise us both!
Do you require a supervision log before each meeting?
Generally, no, but I do ask that you come having contemplated three key questions about your sessions: What can you celebrate? What is challenging you? And to what is Spirit inviting you (through the session/relationship with your client)? That said, if keeping supervision logs appeals to you, I would welcome the opportunity to co-create a compelling set of questions to serve your reflection and development.
Do you require verbatims?
No. But I believe they’re a wonderful tool so if they interest you, or you’re dealing with something that suggests it, we can engage them.
Do you offer group supervision?
Yes. If that is of particular interest to you, I invite you to fill out the Expression of Interest form and indicate your interest in group supervision so I can follow up when space in a group becomes available.
Can I see you as both a spiritual director and a supervisor?
Yes. It’s common to see one of each but I appreciate the holism and authenticity of letting everything into the room, so we can allow a flexible hybrid to emerge.
Besides 1-1 supervision, do you offer any other services for supervisees?
Yes! I facilitate monthly practicum groups and occasional courses and events. Supervisees get early/preferred access to both.
What do you charge?
One-to-one supervision is $75 – $125 per session, sliding scale. Practicum groups and classes/events are charged separately.
